Balance Training - Sterling PhysiotherapyBalance - when you have it you rarely think about it. When you don't, you rarely think of anything else.Your balance is affected after any injury, to any body part, be-it to a muscle/joint/bone and especially to the nervous system; such as stroke, head injury, MS. No matter what level your balance is at, there is potential to improve it. The key is how you go about it. A skilled physiotherapist can use a well-validated measurement tool to assess where your balance is weak, and then the extent of the problem. With that information they can find a route to rehabilitate your balance, in a way that's personalised to you. All balance re-training should be interesting, motivating and much of the time, fun. Most importantly, it's got to be progressive. That's what we do. The Sterling Physiotherapy Practice has expanded and now offers a full range of physiotherapy services from the Asbrooke Sports Club and the Sunderland physiotherapy clinic. |
