Biomechanical

Many people suffer from movement-related disorders with no real explanation. It takes a skilled eye to spot a minor change in the way you are moving, for example with a flat-foot or an in-turned knee. Taken to the extremes of activity or loading one can suffer tremendous discomfort and restriction of activity.

Most biomechanical anomolies are caused by weakness of certain muscles and/or tightness in those or others. At the Sterling Physiotherapy Practice we can identify what has gone wrong and how to deal with it.

Postural

Postural anomolies can cause pain and restriction. We all think we have good posture but it is not until we are fully assessed that we realise how our posture can be affecting our lives in terms of pain, movement restriction, breathlessness.

Visit the Sterling Physiotherapy Practice and arrange a free 10 minute posture assessment

Core Stability

Deep inside the trunk, neck, upper and lower limbs are multiple layers of muscles that contribute not to movement, but to support of those body parts during rest and movement. If you are in pain those muscles become inhibited and thus can make your condition worse.

The Sterling Physiotherapy Practice offers core stability treatment

The Sterling Physiotherapy Practice has expanded and now offers a full range of physiotherapy services from the Seaham physiotherapy clinic and the Sunderland physiotherapy clinic
